The Real Deal - New Old Masters
This exhibit honors the art of realism through a variety of creative perspectives. Curators, Roni Rottner, Ken Hooper-Capozzi, Jane Kiehart incorporated works to create an intricate tapestry of hyper-detailed landscapes, lifelike portraits, and everyday scenes captured with extraordinary precision. Each piece invites viewers to step closer, to immerse themselves in the minutiae that make up the fabric of our reality. From the meticulously rendered fur of a resting cat to the intricate play of light and shadow on a bustling city street, the exhibit showcases the artists' dedication to capturing the world as it is, in all its raw and unfiltered beauty.
As you wander through the gallery, you’ll encounter the works of both emerging and established artists, each bringing their unique voice to the timeless tradition of realism. The exhibit features a striking balance between classic techniques and contemporary interpretations, ensuring that there is something to captivate every visitor. Whether it’s the quiet dignity of a weathered fisherman, the vibrant bustle of a market scene, or the serene stillness of a forest at dawn, each piece is a testament to the power of observation and the artist’s skill in translating reality onto canvas.

"The Art of Cultivating" Artist Talk will feature the fascinating story of Diane Cordeau and Carl Frost, former sailors who voyaged the Southern Pacific Islands and now owners of the beloved Kai-Kai Farm in Indiantown. From navigating the seas to nurturing land and culture, they represent the ultimate cultivators. Despite language barriers, they built trust and friendship, collecting remarkable relics that symbolize the cultures, artistry and traditions they encountered during their journey on open waters.
This special talk offers a rare glimpse into their adventures, collected artifacts, and the artistic processes and histories of distant cultures.
Join us Tuesday, April 1 at 5:30PM to discover more of their journey from seasoned sailors to stewards of the earth and culture.
Free and open to the public. Registration required for in person attendance.
Lecture will be recorded and shared on MartinArts website and YouTube channel.
