In this exhibition, the bold photomontages, paintings and textile installations created by Sobczak, Finch and Schonenberger lead viewers into the cryptic world of surrealism – a place where dream-like images and ideas subconsciously thrive.
The visual language of surrealism is not only portrayed by images of the strange and unearthly, but is also influenced and shaped by political, social, and environmental events around us. Viewers are invited to widen their field of vision and explore the stark beauty of celestial realms, decaying civilizations, collective pandemic memories, and more.
