Bout 1: 12:30–2PM | Bout 2 & 3: 2:30–4PM
What is a poetry slam? Think of it as a live poetry competition! Similar to an open mic, participants perform their original work in front of an audience. However, in a slam, there's a competitive twist—invited judges and audience members score the poets based on the quality of their writing and delivery. The highest-scoring poets advance to the next rounds.
In this event, there will be three rounds:
- First Bout: Open to all poets (12-15 participants).
- Second Bout: The top 8 scorers, as determined by the judges, will move forward.
- Final Bout: The top 4 poets will compete with a new poem to determine the ArtSpeaks Champion!
Bleacher seating will be provided, first come first served. No additional ticket cost other than the $5 general admission.
