Excellence in Arts Education | James Paul
James Paul was born and raised in Stuart, FL. He attended Martin County High School and was inspired to teach by his experience as a student of Ron Corbin. Mr. Paul earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stetson University and began teaching choir at Hidden Oaks Middle School in 2003. In the Fall of 2004 Jensen Beach High School opened its doors and Mr. Paul was honored to establish the choral program.
Over the course of the past 20 years the choirs of Jensen Beach High School have performed throughout our community, the State of Florida, and the nation. They have consistently earned the highest ratings from adjudicators and have maintained a reputation as one of the top performing groups in the state. Jubilate, as the choir is known, was recognized as a Florida Vocal Association Choir of Distinction in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
Mr. Paul seeks to instill a love of music and people in his students. He strives to teach his students to work hard, play hard, and set expectations high in all aspects of their lives. Mr. Paul takes joy in the relationships that have been built and cherishes the privilege to see young people grow and improve. He has been married to his wonderful wife Amanda for 20 years and they have been blessed with four daughters.
