Alec Babineaux
I love theater. I was always a shy kid and I needed something to help me get out of my comfort zone. So, I decided to join my high school theater program, and it was the best decision of my life. So far, I have performed in 8 shows at my school with more coming. I also love the technical side of theater! So, I decided to learn about sound and lights. Recently I co-directed a show called “Willy Wonka kids” for the musical theater program at my school. It was an amazing learning experience, and I absolutely loved it. Our Troupe went to IEs (individual events) where I performed a duet scene from a famous play called Children Of A Lesser God. I picked this piece is because it specifically focused on the Deaf community, and I have always wanted to find a way to represent them. I have also participated in a fundraiser called “Love 2 read” that raises money to pay for tutoring for dyslexic kids. I am planning on going to the University of Central Florida to study preforming arts.
