Emma Peck
This past fall I was the clarinet section leader in the Tiger Regiment marching program at Martin County High School. I led a section of 13 people through the marching season. Section leaders are responsible for everyone in their section being on time, in uniform, as well as marching and playing well. I taught my section everything I knew about tone, intonation, air, and style, so we could be the best we possibly could. Being their teacher was a great joy of mine. This coming year I will be the band captain. It is the highest position of leadership in the Tiger Regiment. In college I plan on double majoring in Music Performance and Public Relations. My dream job would be to perform on Broadway and in the orchestras recording for films.
