As I wind down from a long day at school, I scour YouTube, specifically NPR. Ever since experiencing my first live concert at the Orchestra in Houston, I have realized the power of music. Later at the Museum of Fine Arts with my dad I started to see why we hold art and the power it holds in us. I began with the arts through violin lessons. I paid attention to how each part of the piece affected how I viewed it. This led to drawing days in a museum where I would, with my dad, take a small drawing book and a pencil case and draw small designs that took inspiration from the pieces around. As a middle and high school student I signed up to learn different instruments and joined the band. I picked the trumpet as my main instrument. As I participated, I also realized I wanted to express my ideas and thoughts similarly and chose photography. At The Pine School, I have been involved in plays, concerts, and performances that display not only my talent but also the talent of other students. I look forward to involving myself in art throughout my college career and life after school.
