Margaret (Peggie) O’ Neill
At age five my parents let me study violin in New York City under Judith Koch Hagen who inspired me to perform, and to teach. I later studied violin, viola, and music theory under her father, the renowned teacher Howard Koch, and piano with his wife, the concert pianist Ruth Koch. After high school, I attended Hart School of Music in Hartford Conn. and Mannes School of Music in NYC. I have founded two music schools. The first was Spring Lake Music School in New York, and the most recent is Bach’s Children Music School in Stuart, Florida. No interested student will be turned away regardless of ability to pay. We offer instruction in cello, bass, piano, harp, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, music composition and theory. I am one of the founding members of the Indian River Pops orchestra. And I am very active in the Irish folk music band, the Rowdy Micks. These endeavors are also at the core of my life.
