Art has always been a part of my life having participated in many types of artistic expression such as dance, theater, and instrumental music; however traditional and digital art have stolen my heart. Drawing, painting and digital art became a way to express myself, to tell my stories. The fact that my art can be super realistic or super abstract and loose is very important to me. For several years I have been involved with Visionary School of Arts. Recently I was asked to teach a digital art course in the fall semester. It has been challenging but rewarding to prepare lesson plans and devise a series of classes where I can impart what I have learned to the next generation of aspiring artists. Every year Clark Advanced Learning Center’s National Honor Society holds a charitable event, Create for Cause. I help connect local artists, create art, advertise, and assist with planning and execution. I am going to be Clark’s National Art Honor Society’s president this coming year. I have not yet decided what I would like to do in the future as a profession, but I do know I would love for my future to include art in some fashion.
