Raising $20,000 to Fund Future Scholarships
Commemorating the 20th Anniversary, MartinArts launched a restricted fund that will provide funding for student scholarships for the next 20 years (or more) of the MartinArts Awards. The funds are securely held in a separate account designated solely for future scholarships. Contributions to the fund are 100% tax deductible.
As part of being chosen for a MartinArts Award in performing, visual, or literary arts, students receive a $1,000 scholarship. With the establishment of this fund, we aim to increase the scholarship amount in the coming years. Student award recipients are selected by a panel consisting of industry experts and community representatives and are reviewed based on their application, art samples, and an in-person interview.
During the Awards Night ceremony, all nominees are honored, and students are encouraged to participate with:
- Performing arts students collaborating with peers for a performance
- Literary students responding to a writing prompt read by local actors
- Visual arts students showcasing their original works.
