Elisa Amari
Elisa Amari, a native of New Jersey and current resident of South Florida, is a dedicated full-time mixed media artist specializing in figurative and abstract artwork. Her artistic journey began at a young age, where she consistently expressed her creativity through drawing and painting.
While her parents nudged her towards a more "practical" path, Elisa embarked on a journey that temporarily steered her away from art. She attended community college, following their advice, but soon found herself drawn back to the art world. Working for the New Jersey State Judiciary for over 16 years, Elisa's longing for artistic expression grew stronger.
Initially, Elisa painted portraits and florals for her own pleasure, as well as for friends and family. Her artistry began to expand beyond traditional canvases to encompass unique hand-painted furniture pieces, each infused with her distinctive creative touch. While still balancing her full-time working commitments, Elisa made a pivotal decision in 2019 to pursue her art career. Encouraged by her husband's recognition of her talent, she began selling her hand-painted furniture and artworks.
In the summer of 2022, Elisa and her family embarked on a new chapter by selling their New Jersey home and embracing the vibrant South Florida art scene. Her dedication and artistic merit have resulted in numerous exhibition opportunities across New Jersey and Florida. Notably, her artwork "Not Fragile Like a Flower, Fragile like a Bomb" received an Honorable Mention at the Wallisch Homestead Art Show. Additionally, her work was selected for inclusion in the "Icons" exhibition hosted by Las Laguna.
With unwavering commitment and a continuous drive for excellence, Elisa relentlessly hones her craft, striving to establish a lifelong career in the art world. Her journey is a testament to the power of following one's artistic calling, even when the path may not be initially clear. As she continues to create, Elisa aspires to leave an indelible mark in the artistic realm and inspire others with her unique vision and passion.
