My paintings have always evolved from impressions of life, rather than a strict rendering of a given subject. In every new painting, I relish the ebb and flow of the lines and colors. The power of less is more and the ways simplicity and boldness together can magically evoke sensation.
Watercolor has always been my first love. “My” medium. It is as direct of a medium as can be. There can't be any hesitancy. Once placed, a brushstroke of color will then do its magic. It is this uniqueness and spontaneity of the medium where “happy accidents” happen for me.
I’ve also enjoyed creating art combining the traditional with digital technology. This process gives me the freedom to focus on being truly imaginative and unbounded, in my approach to the subject, in my process and in my technique.
Bio ---
Born in Budapest, Hungary, and escaping that communist country in 1956, Judy “Yudit” Eisinger moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she began painting at an early age and, at 13, took first place for the design of the Cleveland Heights city Holiday Card. And later her entry won for the city’s Annual Report poster contest.
She studied fine art at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Cooper School of Art, which led to a full four-year scholarship to Kent State University. After graduating with a BFA with a minor in art education, Judy began her painting career by showing her watercolor paintings at the Shaker Heights Artist's Cooperative Gallery. Her first One Woman show was a near sell out. Judy’s paintings now hang in private collections throughout the United States, Europe and Israel.
Soon after moving to Florida, she was commissioned to paint 24 paintings for the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. Over the years Judy has won several call for art entries including the City of Delray First Night poster, Kravis Center Playbill Cover, Progressive Insurance poster and the ADL Juried exhibition: Artworks ADL: Justice, Advocacy & Art.
Prior to founding Yudit Design, Judy held the position of Creative Director at Daniels & Roberts Advertising in Boca Raton, Florida. She served as the Creative Director on multi-million-dollar campaigns for an array of Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, Dole Foods, Acer Latin America, Microsoft Latin America and Pratt & Whitney, among others.
Because her belief that fine art is the essence of good graphic design, she has received recognition both for her paintings and for her graphic design work which has garnered several Advertising Federation Silver Addy's.
Judy wrote and illustrated I SEE Whatever I want a Line to Be. Encouraging out of the box thinking for the young reader. This past year ESCAPE. A long walk to Freedom was published and illustrated the cover of for the middle grade reader chronicling her family’s harrowing escape from Russian controlled Hungary during the 1956 Revolution.
