Her passion for the arts took root at the College of Santa Fe, where she immersed herself in sculpture from 1998 to 1999. Mentored by esteemed artists like Rick Fisher, Linda Swanson, Susan York, and Dana Chodzko, Kimi began exploring the deep interconnectedness of philosophy and visual arts.
Despite unforeseen paths leading to a military career and a transition to the oil and gas industry, Kimi rediscovered her passion for creativity in 2017 following a severe workplace accident. This period of recovery and reflection reignited her artistic flame and led her to embrace her true calling with fervor and finesse.
Kimi has since emerged as a consummate professional artist, pouring her soul into vibrant abstract works that celebrate the present moment and explore the complexities of reality. Her pieces often draw on principles of quantum physics, manifesting emotions, memories, and connections on canvas.

**Artist Statement:**
When I paint, I paint the moment. One perspective of the moment. One memory of the moment. My perspective of the moment. Each element of my work goes beyond mere imagery; it conveys the complex emotions and ambiance of that precise instant. Equally vital is the moment when the observer engages with the piece, integrating their own memories, feelings, and perspectives.
Inspired by the complexities of quantum physics, my artistic approach mirrors these scientific theories. Just as particles can exist in multiple states simultaneously and become interconnected over vast distances, my paintings interweave various aspects of a moment. This approach allows me to render transient realities into enduring expressions of time.
In fully embracing the present, I depict moments as rich tapestries of emotions and connections. The colors and shapes in my work serve as fragments of a larger narrative, inviting viewers to blend their own stories with mine. This dynamic interaction evolves continuously as new observers bring their unique perceptions and experiences to the canvas.
My ultimate goal is to inspire viewers to recognize and cherish the preciousness of the present moment.
