Mosaic Unveiling Celebration
Celebrate new public art with us!
We’re installing the 6th sidewalk mosaic, created by local artist Maria Campbell, and we’d like you to join us for the unveiling party at 2pm on Saturday, April 6th!
Enjoy refreshments, meet the artist and see the new addition to the Mosaic Program's series of installed mosaics!
Our artist:
"What inspired me was the fact that ART is imbedded in StuART. This is being recognized now by community efforts to develop and enhance the Arts. The Creek District is a great example of this. I've incorporated some historical reference to the early 1900's with the swirling sky background which can accentuated by the laying of mosaic tile, reflective of art deco at the time Stuart was developing. The seagull represents our environment of the sea, open air, landscape, all inspiration for artists. The hibiscus and butterfly represent the beauty of our natural setting, as well."
The Creek District Sidewalk Mosaic Program
The Creek District of Arts and Entertainment works with local artists and the City of Stuart to bring new artwork to the sidewalk of The Creek District. Art elevates, engages, and connects people. In public places, art uplifts the whole community!
We are grateful for the support we have received from the community.
Big, big thanks to:
The City of Stuart, Women Supporting the Arts for funding, Stuart Mainstreet and Flagler Center, the artists who have participated, the local businesses that have hosted unveilings and provided refreshments, and everyone who celebrates with us when we install a new mosaic.
